Hunt Packages For 2011 Season
Trophy Hunts. Trophy hunters are in for a treat! Many of our hunters say they see more bucks in a single day at the Texas Hidden Springs Ranch than they see in an entire season where they are from. Our deer density is high and the body size of our deer is incredible due to our supplemental feeding program. Our buck to doe ratio is 1 to 1 and guaranteed you will see deer. With ten years of intense wildlife management, we have achieved a perfect balance of all age classes of bucks. We classify mature trophy bucks as 5 years old and older. Your guide will help you age deer and by the time you leave, you will be amazed at what you have learned. This package allows hunters to take bucks up to 200” gross B&C. Bucks scoring over 200” gross SCI score will be at the rate of $300 per inch. 3 days and 3 nights.

Management Hunts. On this guided hunt, we are looking for bucks that are old enough to be entering what we call “the breeding pool.” By this age (3-1/2) a buck should display some type of trophy antler potential. If it doesn’t, then our goal is to remove it from the herd before it has a chance to breed. It is for that reason we take these hunts early in the season which allows for true trophy bucks to breed. Most of those bucks will have 8 points. With this package, your guide will determine which deer falls in the management category; keeping in mind we want you to get the largest management buck available. Some of the management bucks will surprise you. We had a 7 point 5 year old taken that weighed 225 pounds! While that is an unusually big bodied deer, we’ve had many bucks weigh well over 200 pounds each year.
Price: $3,000.00 per single hunter, $2,500 double occupancy.
Bounty on Varmints: In an effort to reduce coyote and bobcat numbers, we offer a $200.00 bounty for each coyote or bobcat taken while deer hunting on the ranch.
INCLUDED IN ALL PACKAGES: We encourage our hunters to take as many feral hogs as possible during the hunt in an effort to eliminate them from the property. Hogs are at no charge. We’ve been successful at removing many hogs and hope to some day be rid of them totally. Hunters can also take the following species at NO CHARGE during their hunt if the opportunity arises: javelina, badger, skunk, opossum and gray fox (in compliance with TP&W game laws).
Non-hunter daily rates: $100 per day, based upon availability.
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to book the hunt – final balance due upon arriving. Make payable to Texas Hidden Springs Ranch, c/o P. O. Box 310379, New Braunfels, Texas 78131-0379. No hunts will be refunded or rescheduled due to acts of God or inclement weather. We will do our best to accommodate our hunters in the event of poor weather conditions, but we do not offer refunds.
Your hunt may be videotaped for broadcast on national television.

We have a cold storage facility located at the ranch to store your deer. Meat processing, taxidermy and shipment of your game are available at an additional charge.
Transportation to and from the ranch is not included.
